Former Vice President Pun joins Maoist party meeting

Pun, attending as a party official, had also taken part in the Central Committee meeting on January 5, where he sat in the vice-president's seat.

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun is participating in a meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) in Khumaltar.

While there were discussions about his return to active politics, several central members advised him against it. Pun had also attended a standing committee meeting prior to this. Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has supported his return to politics, stating that Pun is doing so voluntarily. Dahal has reportedly assured Pun of a position as the party vice-chairman.
