Over 1,600 APF personnel deployed from HQ for election security

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: More than 1,600 personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal headquarters have been deployed from headquarter to various districts for election security.



According to Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, the personnel were dispatched from the APF headquarters in Halchowk to different parts of the country on Friday as part of security arrangements for the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, Additional Inspector General Ganesh Bahadur Thada Magar has instructed all units to remain vigilant, keeping election security sensitivity in mind. Addressing units through a virtual medium, he directed the force to treat election security as a campaign and carry out their responsibilities accordingly.
