KATHMANDU, June 23: Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has said there is still no update on Bipin Joshi, the Nepali youth believed to be held by Hamas. Addressing the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister Rana said that despite continuous efforts and appeals through diplomatic channels, no new information has emerged about Joshi’s status.
“We have done everything possible,” Rana said, “The Prime Minister and the Speaker have also been involved in efforts for his release. I personally met with ministers from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to seek help.”
Bipin’s mother: When will the govt safely bring my son back?

She mentioned that while Hamas recently returned the body of a Thai national who was missing for weeks, there has been no such confirmation regarding Joshi. “It was reported that two foreign nationals were missing, and two weeks ago, Hamas returned the body of a Thai citizen,” she said, “But nothing has been confirmed about Bipin Joshi so far.”
Appealing to the nation for hope, she added, “Let us all pray to God. Our son Bipin is still alive and will return home someday. We are raising the issue continuously.”
