KATHMANDU, Sept 27: A significant meeting took place between Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk.
As part of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations, they engaged in a sideline discussion at the UN headquarters in New York, focusing on various aspects of Nepal-UN cooperation and human rights, according to the ministry. During their conversation, both parties shared insights on key topics such as Nepal's national ownership and peace process, the vital link between development and human rights, and the alarming impacts of climate change.
