At a hurriedly-called press conference on Saturday, FSU President Sharma has demanded that the TU administration and police take strict actions against those who set the FSU office on fire.
Vice Chancellor (VC) Hira Bahadur Maharajan said the TU will form a committee on Sunday to probe into the incident. “As it was a weekend, we just inspected the destroyed FSU office on Saturday,” said Maharjan. “We must find out the culprits. We will form a committee to this effect.”
In a press statement, FSU president Sharma has revealed that a small group of criminals and unruly persons masquerading as students was involved in setting the FSU office ablaze. “We know who they are,” he told the press meet. “They will soon be brought to the book.”
Microeconomics students had been pressuring the TU to cancel last year´s exams saying that most of the questions asked were not covered in the course.
They were apparently not happy with the FSU which they believe did not put enough pressure on the TU to cancel last year´s exams and call for the new exams.
