5. Biggest victory in El Clasico history

Real Madrid 11-1 Barcelona (13 June 1943)

In the season of 1943, Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-0 at home in the first leg of a semi-final of the Copa del Rey, but Los Blancos produced one of the finest performances in the football history to thrash Barcelona 11–1 at Santiago Bernabeu in the return leg and reach the final of the Copa del Generalísimo, renamed in honour of General Franco.

4. Longest undefeated runs
Barcelona: 13 games (1 November 1917 – 3 June 1928)

Barcelona have managed to go almost 11 years without defeat against Real Madrid in all competitions, from 1st November 1917 to 3rd June 1928, the Catalans also hold the record of the longest undefeated Clasicos run in La Liga’s modern era with 7 matches, from December 2008 to December 2011, winning six of them.

Lionel Messi: 21 goals

Lionel Messi is the all-time leader in goals scored in El Clasico with 21 goals in 30 appearances: 14 league goals (tied at the top with Di Stefano), five in the Super Cup and two more in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 6 matches



Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record of the most consecutive Clasico matches in which a player has scored with 7 goals in his previous 6 matches from 2011–12 Copa del Rey (1st leg) to 2012–13 La Liga.


1. Dirtiest player in El Clasico history
Fernando Hierro : 19 cards

Former Real Madrid captain Fernando Hierro is considered as the dirtiest players in El Clasico history with most cards in the fixture history: 19 cards (18 yellow cards + 1 red card). Among current players, Sergio Ramos is second with 16 (14 yellow + 2 red).
