Five gamblers held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: A police squad on Wednesday evening apprehended five people from the rented room of 30-year-old Jyoti Bhujel at the house of one Arbik Shrestha at Saraswatinagar-6 for gambling.



Police confiscated Rs. 28,630 at stake and eight packs of cards from them, the District Police Office, Hanumandhika stated.[break]



Those arrested in this connection are 35-year-old Ramesh Mainali of Kavre, 37-year-old Durga Rai of Sunsari, 31-year-old Prabin Karki and 21-year-old Sameer KC of Dang and 21-year-old Bishwa Limbu of Ilam.
