Fires gut property worth Rs 550,000

INARUWA, Jan 30: Property worth Rs 550,000 destroyed in fires that occurred in two separate VDCs in Sunsari district on Friday night.

The District Police Office, Sunsari, said that a fire broke out after the short-circuit in the houses of Bachchhalal Yadav and Naresh Yadav in Chhitaha VDC gutted food grains, clothes, utensils, jewelleries and all other properties in the houses. Police said that the total loss in the two houses is estimated around Rs 300,000.


Likewise, a fire took place in the houses of Shyam Sundar Sada of Shreepurjabdi VDC-6, gutting property worth Rs 250,000 to cinder. Police said that the blaze occurred from the substance that was burnt to keep the house warm to escape the cold.

Four houses of Sada, two oxen, 10 goats, foodstuffs, clothes and others in the houses were completely destroyed in the fire, Superintendent of Police Poshraj Pokharel said. RSS
