During the meeting, the Finnish envoy conveyed concerns of development partners about the impact of the present political deadlock on Nepal´s development.
The slow pace in implementing the peace process, combined with the continued caretaker status of the government and lack of development leadership at the political level could significantly impact many donors´ ability to secure future resources for Nepal, read a press statement issued by the Finnish Embassy.
"Donors urge rapid progress in these areas so that Nepali people could derive maximum benefit from the country´s development potential," the statement said Kyostila as saying.
She conveyed the same message to Prachanda on behalf of Australia, Delegation of European Union, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and USAID.
