KATHMANDU, June 11: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has directed officials to prioritize inter-ministerial coordination and facilitation to improve governance efficiency.
During a meeting of the High-Level Management Committee at the Ministry of Finance, Minister Paudel urged staff to focus on inter-ministerial tasks while remaining within the bounds of the law. "Don't take the path where the Finance Ministry is seen as an obstacle," he said. "Facilitate based on priorities and create an environment where tasks can be completed swiftly."

He emphasized the importance of results-oriented practices and instructed officials to work with greater dedication to achieve set goals. He also stressed the need to set monthly and annual targets for the upcoming fiscal year based on practical realities and outcome-driven planning.
Finance Minister Paudel emphasized the need to amend existing laws to implement the upcoming budget and directed officials to start preparatory work for legal revisions in consultation with all stakeholders. He also instructed them to prioritize tasks necessary for the effective execution of the next fiscal year's budget.
During the meeting, Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay and Revenue Secretary Dinesh Ghimire urged division and department heads to step up their efforts to enhance revenue collection and accelerate capital expenditure.
