The civil society has been asked to play mediating role between demonstrators and police personnel.
The curfew which was lifted for some time in the morning today has been imposed again since 8 am.
The police are deserting village-based police posts after the irate protestors began to throw away sign boards and picketed police posts.
Living with fear

With the police personnel called back to the district headquarters, the fear of insecurity has grown in the villages.
On early Tuesday, the irate demonstrators took to the streets shouting slogans as the curfew was lifted briefly.
