Chairman Dahal said the parties are yet to come into agreement on whether to term the five districts – Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kailali and Kanchanpur - as disputed districts.
Dahal said three major political parties - who were involved in promulgating the new constitution - and the Madhesi parties are positive toward delineating provinces through the formation of a political mechanism within three months.
At a press meet held at the central party headquarters in Peris Danda struck no chords after the top leaders of three major parties and Madhesi Morcha did agree on where to term five districts as ‘disputed’ or not.
Road to take
“Even though the UDMF leaders are positive toward delineating the provinces through the formation of the political mechanism within three months, it is still uncertain whether it will be sorted out so easily,” said Dahal.
The leaders of the ruling and main opposition parties are not ready to accept the five districts as disputed while the UDMF leaders see them as disputed.
“We are trying to seek a solution amid differences to resolve the current imbroglio,” said Dahal.
