KATHMANDU, April 30: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined marginally by 8.14 points to close at 2,623.83 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,631.98 points and reached the day’s high at 2,642.01 points in the first 38 minutes of trading. The index went through a series of fluctuations and hit the day’s low at 2,623.39 points in the last 18 minutes before the market closed for the day.

Only four out of the 13 groups were the gainers. Hydropower added the largest of 21.56 points, followed by trading, microfinance and mutual funds. Of the losers, the development bank index declined by the highest of 56.65 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.53 points. Daily turnover amount however surged to Rs 9.37 billion from Rs 7.57 billion on Tuesday.
Among the individual companies, 107 were gainers while 136 were recorded as losers. Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 580.42 million.
Bhugol Energy Development Company was the topmost loser. Two companies including Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited by adding 10 percent in their market values were recorded as the topmost gainers.
