KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday surged 39.13 points to close at 2,621.86 points. However, the daily turnover amount declined to Rs 4.20 billion from Rs 5.18 billion on Tuesday.
The secondary market opened at 2,582.73 points and escalated on the upward graph almost throughout the trading hours. The market index dramatically soared by a notable value just on the next day of its value decline by a whopping 58.05 points. Overall, the market index inclined 1.51 percent on Wednesday.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover

All the 13 trading groups were registered as gainers in the intraday trading. Life insurance surged 267.90 points, followed by non-life insurance, and hotels and tourism with gains of 209.06 points and 112.03 points, respectively.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also inclined 5.71 points.
Among the individual companies, 231 were gainers while 12 were registered as losers. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited had the biggest turnover of Rs 418.67 million.
Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited added the largest of 5.85 percent of its market value. Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited had its market value decline by 7.09 percent, the biggest of all.
