KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday declined 10.25 points to close at 2,698.44 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,708.69 points, reaching the day’s high at 2,728.33 points in the first 49 minutes. The market then fell gradually and hit the day’s low at 2,696.26 points in the last two minutes, while the market recovered around two points in the remaining time before it closed for the day.

Two sectors including others and investment gained 10.98 points and 0.08 points, respectively. Of the 11 losers, hotels and tourism, and manufacturing and processing plunged by the largest of 164.44 points and 108.16 points, respectively.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies decreased 0.85 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 11.65 billion from Rs 11.58 billion.
Among the individual companies, 85 were gainers while 168 were recorded as losers. Super Madi Hydropower Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 560.34 million.
Kalinchowk Darshan Limited dropped by the highest of 8.91 percent. Super Madi Hydropower Limited increased by the highest of 10 percent.
