KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday increased 9.61 points to close at 2,665.60 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,655.99 points and plunged to the day’s low at 2,648.5 points in the first seven minutes. The market recovered in the next moment and reached the day’s high at 2,671.91 points in the last one and a half hours. The market corrected by around six points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Eight groups were the gainers. The Hotels and Tourism group had the largest gain of 69.22 points. Of the five losers, life insurance declined by the largest of 44.88 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 1.64 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 6.69 billion from Rs 5.82 billion.
Among the individual companies, 142 were gainers while 104 were recorded as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 624.34 million.
Jhapa Energy Limited was the topmost gainer of 10 percent. Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited witnessed the highest fall of 3.94 percent of its market price.
