Daily newspaper hits newsstands in Humla

HUMLA, July 3: Kailash Mansarobar Media has started publication of ´Karnali Sarobar´, the first daily newspaper in Karnali zone, with an offset-press.



Barkha Bohora, executive editor of the newspaper, said that 500 copies would be printed and all works of the four-page newspaper printing would be managed in the district itself. [break]



Intellectuals and locals have said the publication of the newspaper from the district would help promote journalism in Humla as well.



Bali Rawat, chairman of publication house, said the paper to be published in Humla district has been registered in Surkhet district.



Earlier, at least a dozen of weekly and monthly newspapers registered at the Humla district administration office had been closed due to lack of printing machine
