KATHMANDU, April 8: The Kathmandu District Court has granted the police an additional 15 days to detain Rabindra Mishra and 19 other individuals arrested during the March 28 demonstration at Tinkune, Kathmandu.
District Court Judge Bishnu Prasad Upadhyay approved the extension of custody for Mishra, lawmaker Dhawal SJB Rana, and 18 others involved in the protests.

According to the court’s Information Officer Deepak Shrestha, the 20 individuals, including Mishra and Rana, were arrested on charges of actions against the state. They will remain in custody for an additional 15 days.
In total, investigations are ongoing against 53 individuals for vandalism and organized crime charges.
Police have been detaining various individuals suspected of being involved in the incident. Those not found to be directly involved have been released after preliminary investigation. The arrests were made based on evidence such as videos, photos, and CCTV footage circulating on social media.
