The two-member team headed by Chinese Defense Attaché General Chen Chong, had reached Charikot on Sunday morning. The team held long discussions with DSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh and border official Ramhari Lamichhane.
Singh later informed about their meeting with the Chinese officials.
They took special interest in finding out about the border security situation and illegal entry of Tibetans from Lamabagar during their meetings with the Chief District Officer, border security officials and district police in-charge.
According to the district police office sources, the embassy officials asked about ways to prevent Tibetans from entering Nepal. The team also examined the border map between Nepal and Tibet. Dolakha´s three VDCs -- Lamabagar, Bigu and Aalampu -- border Tibet.
The Nepali side is said to have expressed concern regarding the security situation in Tibetan side of the border.
Tibetans illegally enter Nepal to go to Dharamshala in India to receive training and education from their religious leader, the Dalai Lama. The number of Tibetans illegally entering Nepal from Dolakha has reached 52 so far.
