The meeting of RPP's CWC held on Saturday in the capital city picked Chand for the position upon the proposal of the Chairman of the Party Pashupati Shumsher Rana.
Chand was proposed by Rana and seconded by Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani and central committee member Sunil Bahadur Thapa.
Rana ,who has been assuming the leadership of the Party on the rotation basis succeeding former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, has already rendered his resignation from the Chairman's position in the earlier meeting of the Party.
Lohani succeeds Chand as per the rotational arrangement. RSS
