DEVDAHA, April 7: The people's representatives from Siddharthanagar Municipality in Rupandehi have asked the authorities for the operation of the Gautam Buddha International Airport at the earliest.

On the occasion, the Mayor of Siddharthanagar Municipality, Ishtiyak Ahamad Khan, viewed that the airport built by investing billions of rupees should be brought into operation as early as possible.
Mayor Khan expressed confidence that the country's economic activities would become vibrant if the airport were to operate in full capacity.
"Operation of the airport will not only contribute to the development activities of Bhairahawa. This will support the nation's development efforts. It will increase tourists' arrival," Mayor Khan added.
Likewise, the spokesperson of the municipality, Muktinath Yadav, said that industrialists and businesspeople in this area have suffered due to the lack of commercial operation of the airport.
