BUSINESS BRIEFS: BB Airways appoints Shristi and Ani as brand ambassador

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: BB Airways has appointed singer and philanthropist Ani Choying Dolma and Miss Nepal 2012 Shristi Shrestha as its brand ambassadors. Issuing a statement, the airline said the concept was to bring beauty and Buddha together. "Dolma is an icon of Buddhism in modern Nepal and Shrestha represents beauty of Nepal," Shishir Bhatta, managing director of BB Airways, said in the statement.



The airline started operation with chartered flight on September 13, carrying tourists from Siem Reap of Cambodia to Nepal. It is operating scheduled flights to Kula Lumpur and Hong Kong from October 11 with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.[break]

Products of Utsav Shoes in market



KATHMANDU
: Utsav Shoes Industries - a new footwear company - has launched its products in the market. Issuing a press statement, the company said it has introduced wide variety of sandals and slipper for both men and women.



Prices of newly the launched footwear ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 700 a pair. "We are planning to launch shoes of all categories in the market very soon. Our products will be as good as imported shoes because of durability, comfort, quality and looks," the statement added.



Ncell cuts roaming rate to India by 90%



KATHMANDU
: Ncell has reduced international roaming rate for India by more than 90 percent effective from Thursday, a press statement of the company said. The existing roaming rate for India is Rs 240 per minute. "The new roaming rate allows customers to make call and receive or send SMS to any number of Nepal or India at Rs 20 per minute(exclusive of taxes)," the statement added. Ncell post-paid and pre-paid users can avail the roaming service by sending an SMS to 9111. "Our customers now will be able to talk to their family, friends and business partners easily at affordable rate," Abdujabbor Kayumov, chief commercial officer of Ncell, said in the statement.



Hero announces festive scheme



KATHMANDU
: Nepal General Marketing -- the authorized distributor of Hero bikes for Nepal -- has announced cash discount on Hero bikes and scooters as its festive offer. According to a press statement issued on Wednesday, customers can get up to Rs 6,000 discount on the purchase of Hero bikes and scooter and also get a Philip´s photo frame free of cost. In addition to that, lucky draw will be conducted every week in which three buyers can win 32 inch LCD TV. The company expects to sell 9,000 bikes from its 70 outlets spread across the country throughout the scheme period. The scheme is valid till November 19.



Fiat´s free check-up camp concludes



KATHMANDU
: Batas Brother Motors organized free check-up camp for Fiat cars on Tuesday and Wednesday at its modern service center situated in Basundhara. According to a press statement, Fiat customers enjoyed free vehicle check-up, special discounts on top up of oils, coolants, battery fluids, spare parts and labor charges. “Due to the growing popularity of Fiat vehicles in Nepal, we have been doing various activities and events to provide additional services to our valued customers,” Alok Josee, deputy general manager of the company, said in the statement.



Classic Tech expands services to Kavre



KATHMANDU
: As part of its objective of expanding service outside the capital, Internet service provider Classic Tech on Wednesday launched its service in Kavre. Issuing a press statement, the company said it has also launched a new scheme on the occasion of Dashain and Tihar festivals. Under the scheme, customers can use unlimited broadband Internet up to 400 kpbs at Rs 1,000 per month. The company offers CT Wi-Fi, CT Broadband, CT Optmax and CT talk services.



Rs 100,000 off on Honda Brio



KATHMANDU
: Syakar Company has announced a special festive scheme on Honda four-wheelers for the Dashain and Tihar festivals. Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the company said customers will get cash discount of Rs 100,000 on purchase of Honda Brio. The company will also pay road tax and comprehensive insurance premium for a year. The price of Honda Brio starts from Rs 2.89 million. In addition to these facilities on Brio, the company will provide attractive offers for other Honda cars like City, Jazz, Accord and CR-V, said the statement. The offer is valid for a limited period.



Festive scheme on Videocon



KATHMANDU
: Pasupati Electronics and KV Overseas -- the authorized distributors of Videocon -- in Nepal has introduced a festive scheme to pull consumers toward Videocon products. According to a statement, under the scheme the customers buying Videocon LCD or LED television of 32 inches and above will get a X-age mobile. "Apart from this, consumers will get a T-shirt on each purchase of refrigerators, washing machine, cooler and chest freezers," the statement added. The offer is valid till November-end.
