KATHMANDU, April 3: Bir Man Lama and Dinesh Hamal of Tribhuvan Army Club entered the quarterfinals in men's section in the 18th Men's and 11th National Full Contact Karate Tournament on Friday.

Likewise, Badri Thapa and Jhanak Shahi of Army Club, Gopi Syangtang of Lumbini, Rakesh Maharjan of Dhaulagiri, Dinesh Khadka of Narayani and Bibek Mehta of Bagmati secured their places in the men's last eight of the event being organized by Nepal Kyokushin Karate Do Association.
Similarly, Sujata Rai and Jhalak Kumari Mahato of Lumbini, Romisha Thing and Sarmila Magar of Dhaulagiri, Sangita Tamang of Janakpur, Sumita Rai of Bagmati, Mamta Gupta of Koshi entered the quarterfinals in women's U-55 Kg event.In open event, Sabina Shrestha of Army, Sapana Neupane of Lumbini and Nirmala Bajracharya of Bagmati secured their places in the semifinals.
