Baidya leaving for China on Sunday

KATHMANDU, July 14: Chairman of CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, is heading to China on Sunday for a 10-day visit, at the invitation of the Chinese Government and the Communist Party of China (CPC).



Party politburo member Indra Mohan Sigdel and his spouse will be accompanying Baidya, said party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.[break]



During his stay in China, Baidya is scheduled to have meetings with high-ranking government officials there and top leaders of the CPC.



The CPN-Maoist Chairman is scheduled to fly off to China at 11:30 pm.



The visit is expected to play an important role in consolidating the mutual relations between the two countries, said Bhusal.



CPC member and Vice Minister of Chinese Government Ai Ping who had arrived on a visit to Nepal recently had invited Baidya for the visit.
