KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Ashok Khaling of APF and Raj Kumar Rasaili of Bhaktapur on Sunday entered the men's 52kg finals in the Wushu Selection Games being held in Kathmandu for selecting players for the 12th South Asian Games to be held in India next year. Ashok beat Biraj Tamang of Kavre and Raj Kumar beat Chandra Sunuwar of Ramechhap.
Likewise, Padam Balami of Nepal Police Club defeated Juguram Chadhary of APF and Rajesh Chaudhary of Kailali beat Amar Sunuwar of APF to advance in the final of men's 56kg event. In men's 60kg event, Santosh Kumar Lama of Makawanpur beat Keshav Thapa of APF and Mangal Tharu of APF beat Padam Rai of Tribhuvan Army Club to secure final spot.

Similarly, Saroj Pun of Banke defeated Prabesh Rajthala of Bhaktapur and Anish Shahi of APF defeated his own club mate Birendra Singh to sail into the men's 65kg final. Meanwhile, Bishal Sinjali of Army and Sushmita Tamang of APF on Saturday were selected for the SAG for men's and women's taolu sections respectively. According to Nepal Wushu Association, altogether eight players, including four in sanshou and four in taolu, will be selected for the SAG.
