KATHMANDU, June 12 : On the occasion of World Music Day on June 20, various Nepali bands will be performing in a charity concert which aims to raise funds for earthquake victims. The event, 'Pray for Nepal: Let the Good Time Roll', will be held at the ground of St Xavier's School in Jawalakhel.

Bands such as 1974 AD, Robin and The New Revolution, Cobweb, Mukti and Revival, Joint Family Internationale and Hari Maharjan Project, among others, will put up performances for their fans.

According to organizer Sunny Mahat, the event will be organized each year on World Music Day and the proceeds will go to earthquake victims. "All the bands in the concert will be performing free of cost. Previously, we had organized many concerts for free, but since it is a charitable concert, the audience will be expected to put in some funds."

Manoj Kumar KC from 1974 AD says that since all the artists are busy with relief distribution these days, the charity concert had to wait till World Music Day.

The event is being jointly organized by Ournepal.com, Sunny Mahat and Deep Shamsher Rana.
