KATHMANDU, Aug 5: A total of 77 officers in the Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal, have been recommended for promotion based on seniority, performance evaluation, and professional competence.
According to the recommendation made on Monday, six officers have been proposed for promotion to Senior Superintendent of Armed Police (SSP), 22 to Superintendent of Armed Police (SP), one to Technical Superintendent of Armed Police, and 48 to Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police (DSP).
18 SP recommended for promotion to SSP

APF Deputy Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa stated that the promotion process prioritized seniority, professional ability, and performance evaluations. He added that these promotions are expected to contribute to the organizational growth and boost the morale of the security personnel.
Those recommended for promotion to SSP include officers from the second batch who had previously been promoted to SP during the first phase. The SP-level promotions include officers from the third batch, those in the alternative group of the same batch, and from the fourth batch, based on seniority, professional competence, and performance. Similarly, those promoted to DSP are from the ninth batch.
Earlier, the APF Headquarters had issued a notice on July 16, inviting eligible candidates to apply for promotion within 15 days for the posts of SSP, SP, Technical SP, and DSP.
Applicants were required to submit their promotion evaluation forms along with copies of academic certificates and other necessary documents to the Secretariat of the Promotion Committee.
