74 people succumb to COVID-19 in Banke as of Monday

BANKE, Nov 17: Altogether 74 people have succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease in Banke district as of Monday, district health authorities said.

Of the deceased, 50 were men and 24 were women, according to Naresh Shrestha, an official at the District Public Health Office, Banke. Shrestha shared that, of them, 36 were local residents of Banke and 38 were from other parts of the country.

Currently, 107 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment in critical condition at various health facilities in Banke. The district has recorded 3,601 coronavirus infections including 3,318 cases of recovery as of today, according to Shrestha, the COVID-19 resource person at the District Public Health Office.
