31 injured as three vehicles collide in Hetauda

According to Makwanpur District Police, a passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 2119) traveling from Chitwan to Birgunj lost control after a tire burst and rammed into a cargo truck (Na 6 Kha 8180) heading toward Chitwan from Hetauda. The truck then collided with an empty fuel tanker (Na 7 Kha 1774) coming from Kathmandu toward Bara, resulting in multiple injuries.

BAGMATI, Sept 22: Thirty-one passengers were injured on Monday afternoon when three vehicles collided near Bastipur in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–19, along the East-West Highway.



According to Makwanpur District Police, a passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 2119) traveling from Chitwan to Birgunj lost control after a tire burst and rammed into a cargo truck (Na 6 Kha 8180) heading toward Chitwan from Hetauda. The truck then collided with an empty fuel tanker (Na 7 Kha 1774) coming from Kathmandu toward Bara, resulting in multiple injuries.

All the injured were rescued and taken to Hetauda Hospital and CMC Churehill Hospital for treatment. Police spokesperson Deputy Superintendent Shyamu Aryal said two of the injured are in serious condition.
