The accident took place when the jeep en route to Bethan from Lubhughat of Ramechhap veered off 200 metres from Jogimara ridge after brake fail.
The deceased in the incident are Hariman Biswokarma of Hiledevi-8, Rita Dong of Bethan-9, Bhwasa and Keshari Dong of Bethan.
Among the seriously wounded are jeep driver Khambe Tamang of Hiledevi-7, Yatru Kumar BK and Susmita KC of Dimipokhar-9.
The jeep with 12 seats was ferrying 20 passengers beyond its capacity, police said.
There occurs high number of road accidents with the learners driving the vehicles on the route, said locals.
