Inaugurating the expo, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun said private sector representatives have urged political parties to forge a consensus so that the investors can feel comfortable to make a huge investment. Suraj Vaidya, president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said political parties should be consistent in their acts and speech whether or not they are in the government.

Speaking on the occasion, Kush Kumar Joshi, former president of FNCCI, said private sector should push the government to ensure investment friendly environment in the country.
The expo, which is jointly organized by Abhiyan national economic daily and Jamb Technologies, also hosts different seminars and face-to-face interaction programs between investors. “The expo will also be a forum to demonstrate new products,” reads a press statement issued by the organizer.
Highlighting the importance of investment friendly environment in the country to lure foreign investors, Radesh Pant, CEO of the Investment Board, said, international investors were interested to come in Nepal. “We just need to ensure them that their investment will be secured in our land,” he said.
