A quarterly report from mid-August to mid-December released today by the Kuriti Antya Samaj, an organisation fighting against social evils, stated that the women were victimized by different violence including child marriage, untouchability, and witchery.
Samaj Secretary Loksari Kunwar said that although more women might have suffered from such incidents, all the incidents were not reported due to the Tarai agitation and border blockade.
