11 injured over cricket row

RAUTAHAT, June 5: At least 11 people were injured after two groups got involved in fisticuffs over a cricket match in Dharampur VDC-8 of Rautahat district on Friday.



According to Area Police Office of Garuda, the fight erupted after guardians of the young players engaged in dispute as soon as the match began. That left 11 people, including supporters from either group, injured.

Mojir Ansari, Netrik Khatun, Kasharmera Khatun, Ojitha Khatun, Ishrath Khatun, Harun Ansari, Ashgar Ansari, Ishlan Khatun, Mariya Khatun, Sabita Khatun and Roshra Khatun were injured in the fight and have been admitted to local Anamika Hospital of Garuda.


However, all the injured are said to be out of danger, according to Police Inspector of Garuda, Santu Lal Jayswar.
