10yo schoolboy injured in police-protester clash

MAHOTTARAI, Dec 28: Clashes have erupted in Jaleshwor, the district headquarters, on Monday after police tried to clear obstruction by cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

UDMF cadres had barricaded the road to District Administration Office by placing cement pipes on the road.

A 10-year-old boy Amit Chaudhary of Jaleshwor-4, who was returning home from the school, got injured in the clash. He received cut in his head and is being treated at Jaleshwor Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, protesters have picketed District Administration Office, Mahottarai.

The works at the office has been halted following protest by UDMF cadres forcing service seekers to return.

Marketplaces in Matihani, Gaushala, Samsi, Ramgopalpur, Pipara among others have remained closed today.
