The Area Police Office, Gaindakot has identified the deceased as locals Dev Bahadur Thapa and Bharat Rana.[break]
A truck (Na 2 Kha 3798) coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle (Na 15 5976) at around 9:00 pm, leaving them seriously injured. They died in course of treatment at the Bharatpur-based medical college. They are about 19-20 years of age.
Following the accident, police have arrested the driver and impounded the truck. Kin of the deceased and locals obstructed the vehicular movement on the Gaindakot section for sometime, demanding action against the guilty and compensation to the victims.
