Trinity A dribbled past Golden Gate A in highly competitive first semifinal 21-10, 21-17, 17-21 and 21-6. Golden Gate B triumphed over Trinity C with a relative ease in second semifinal. Golden Gate B won in straight sets (3-0) 21-7, 21-6, 21-3.
In the women´s semifinals, Prime scored past TIA 21-2, 21-4. Similarly, GAA sailed past B Square 21-9, 21-13. The finals will be played at the GAA Hall, Thamel, on Friday.
Judo team off to Bangkok
KATHMANDU, July 23: A four-member Nepali judo team left for Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday to participate in the International Judo North College Championship to be held from July 24-29.
Suresh BK would compete in men´s U-55 kg category and Pramila Sarki in women´s U-48 kg category. Pritivi Alok is the coach and Punam Pariyar is the manager of the team. Nepal is participating in the tournament for the third time.
Meanwhile, Nepal judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya bade a farewell to the team amidst a function in the capital on Thursday.
