KATHMANDU, March 27: Speaker Devraj Ghimire held a meeting with the chief whips of major political parties ahead of Thursday’s House of Representatives meeting.
The discussion comes after Wednesday’s parliamentary session was disrupted due to protests from opposition parties over the removal of Kulman Ghising as the Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
The opposition has demanded that the prime minister provide an explanation in Parliament regarding Ghising’s dismissal, but a final decision on the matter is yet to be made.
