KATHMANDU, June 14: Police in Lalitpur have arrested three individuals with a large quantity of illegal drugs after firing a shot at the tire of a moving vehicle.
According to the Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwor, a total of 20,000 capsules of Tramadol were seized during the operation, along with the arrest of three suspects.

The arrested include Jitendra Paswan, 35, of Simraungadh Municipality-3 in Bara, and two Indian nationals identified as Ahmed Ladna, 32, and Mohammad Saddam, 33.
Police said the operation was launched after receiving intelligence that a large consignment of drugs was being transported from Simraungadh, Bara, towards Kathmandu in a red car bearing registration number Ba 5 Cha 4567. A motorcycle with registration number Bagmati Province Ba 52 Pa 4567 was also involved.
When the suspects attempted to flee after being stopped, police fired one round at the right-side tire of the car to bring the vehicle under control.
Authorities recovered 20,000 capsules of Tramadol along with five mobile phones from the suspects. Further investigation is underway.
