Six protestors injured in clash

LAHAN, Sept 17: At least six persons were injured when agitating cadres of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum and UCPN (Maoist) clashed with the police in Lahan on Thursday afternoon. The clash ensued after the protestors waved black flags to state minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Shatrughan Prasad Koiri.



State Minister Koiri had reached Nepal Electricity Authority office in Lahan to inaugurate a Bishwakarma temple built in the office premise. Police personnel deputed for the security of minister had to resort to baton charge when the protestors started to pelt stones at the minister´s vehicle.
