Clash erupts at Tinkune as pro-monarchy protestors attempt to breach restricted area

KATHMANDU, March 28: A clash broke out between police and pro-monarchy protestors at Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.


The clash occurred after the pro-monarchy protestors attempted to break through the restricted area.

Police intervened when the royalist group tried to move towards Baneshwar, breaking the restricted zone. This led to a clash between the protesters and the police personnel. 


The demonstrators attempted to dismantle the security barriers set up by the police. Authorities have designated Tinkune as the protest site for the royalist group.
