KATHMANDU, March 1: The State Affairs Committee (SAC) of the Legislature-Parliament has admitted that it accepted donor support while conducting programs related to security issues.

Such a response follows news reports in Kantipur daily that SAC held meetings on a sensitive issue like security receiving support from some donor organizations.[break]

Holding a meeting on Tuesday, SAC Chairman Ram Nath Dhakal made it clear that the Parliamentary committee had not received any support from donors other than in accommodation, lodging and ticketing during its meetings in Gokarna and Pokhara.

With the approval from the Speaker and General Secretary, support in these titles was received from a Swiss INGO, DCAP, and National Peace Campaign, he said.

In the meeting, CA members Chitra Bahadur KC, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Pampha Bhusal and Rajendra Khetan called for formation of a sub-committee to discuss security related matters and stressed for clarifying the possible support from donors.
