Police recovered a rhino horn, a mobile set worth over Rs 100,000 and two motorbikes from the smugglers, informed Chief Protection Officer of the national park Jagannath Singh.
A case related to wildlife smuggling was prepared to file against Dinesh Adhikari known to be Chari of Dhading, Combatant Section Deputy Commander of Maoists Third Division in Chitwan, Deepak Bahadur Hamal and Bhim Bahadur BK of Dhading.
Likewise, Dil Bahadur BK, Rajesh Hamal, Narayan Shrestha and Lok Bahadur Gurung of Dhading and Pancha Kumar Lama of Kavrepalanchowk have also been dragged in this case.
Further investigation into the smugglers has been put forward by keeping them in the national park, said Chief Protection Officer Singh. The national park can investigate into this incident by taking them under control for 25 days.
A special investigation team of the police had arrested them with rhino horn in Machhapokhari of the Capital on last Friday.
Meanwhile, a physically-challenged died in Chitwan when a mini-truck hit him.
Nar Bahadur BK, 35, of Jutepani VDC-3 was hit by the mini truck in Bharatpur-3 while raining, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The vehicle hitting the disabled person has yet to be identified.
An identity card of disability was found from the pocket of the deceased, police added. RSS
