The huge landslide that fell on the road blocked the highway. A dozer has been employed to remove the landslide debris on the road but its work has been hampered as the landslide continues. [break]
Vehicular movement came to a halt since 2 a.m. today. The landslide was triggered by continuous rain since few days back.
Another dozer has been called in for assisting in clearing the road of the landslide deposit.
Passengers going for different destinations for the Teej festival have been stranded. They even do not have anything to eat as there are no shops or teashops near the place. Hundreds of vehicles are stranded at this place, some 85 kilometres west of Kathmandu.
Big and small landslips have occurred at more than 50 places along the highway following incessant rains since a week.
