KATHAMDNU, Sept 8: Nepal Chess Association (NCA) on Tuesday received Chess Excellence Award from Asian Chess Federation in the UAE.
According to Nepal Chess Association Secretary Herakaji Maharjan, the organization was felicitated with the award on the basis of the activities round the year on 2014 and initiatives taken for the development of the game.

Nepal Chess Association President Rajesh Hari Joshi and National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista received the award.
Meanwhile, Nepal's chess player Bhupendra Niraula earned 2.5 points after third round in the Asian Amateur Chess Championship being held in Brunei.
