NC, TMDP leaders hold meeting

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 27: Nepali Congress Vice-President, Ram Chandra Poudel, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Mahesh Acharya, central member Ananda Dhungana, and Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Mahantha Thakur, and leaders—Hridayesh Tripathi and Sarbendra Nath Sukla, held a meeting today.

During the meeting held at Sanothimi-based residence of TMDP Chairman Thakur, they discussed the ongoing agitation launched in Tarai, it is learnt.

After the meeting, leader Tripathi said that they were ready to sit for talks if the three major political parties proposed for same with the commitment of addressing the Madhes demand.

He said, "We proposed that we are ready to resolve the problems through talks if the major political parties commit to addressing our demands." RSS
