KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel has allocated the entire budget under the Local Infrastructure Development Partnership Program for the development of health infrastructures this year.
A meeting of the Program Directorate Committee held according to the Local Infrastructure Development Partnership (Operating Procedure) Regulations-2019 selected the plans and programs on Sunday.
Rs 10 million each has been allocated for the construction and upgradation program of Shankarnagar Health Post’s infrastructures in Tilottama Municipality-2 and upgradation of Padmapani Yoga and Naturopathy Center in Sainamaina Municipality-1.
Similarly, Rs 5 million has been allocated for setting up a cancer screening center at Lumbini Regional Hospital in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-9 in collaboration with Rotary Club of Butwal. Another Rs 15 million has been allocated for the construction and upgradation of infrastructures at Urban Health Center in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-12.
Last year, Minister Paudel had allocated entire amount he received as a lawmaker Local Infrastructure Development Partnership Program was allocated for the development of education infrastructures.
