PARSA, March 1: Chairman of Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party (Nepal) Mahendra Ray Yadav said new election should be held if the new constitution is not promulgated by May 28.

Parties should be ready to hold an election for fresh mandate if the statute is not drafted by the extended deadline, he said speaking at Reporters´ Club, Parsa,on Tuesday.

The present government led by the CPN-UML, which was formed under the support of the Unified CPN (Maoist), will not get a full shape, he said.

Since leaders of both the parties are engaged in a quarrel over portfolio distribution, it is clear that the Cabinet cannot be expanded, he said.
