Examination Controller Khagaraj Baral gave out this information and said details about the arrest were still awaited.
Keshav Thapa and Pradip Bohara were arrested after it was found that the former was sitting in the Social Studies examination today in place of Bohara, a student of the Sahayogi Pathasala Baikalpik Vidyalaya, Bhatbhateni.
The two have been taken to the District Police Office, Hanumandhoka after the arrest, said the District Education Officer of Kathmandu, Baikuntha Aryal.
According to him, they will face six months imprisonment or one hundred thousand rupees in fine or both.
The SLC exam started on March 14 and would conclude on March 22.
