Preparation works for setting up a temporary desk at the DAO has been completed according to Balananda Sharma, coordinator at the secretariat of Special Committee for supervision‚ integration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants.[break]
According to Sharma former combatants would receive their final installment across the country through their respective DAO of the cantonment districts including Chitwan.
The DAO has fully cooperated for establishing the desk at its office premises, said Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Himnath Dawadi.
He said that arrangement of telephone and internet has also been made.
According to Secretariat´s Officiating Secretary Madhubilas Pandit, a team led by Secretariat convenor Sharma has come here for distributing cheques.
The half of the amount of those combatants will be getting their final installments through cheques.
A total of 2,722 ex-combatants in Shaktikhor of Chitwan will be distributed the amount through to cheques.
The first installments were paid at the cantonment sites, which were evacuated after completion of the integration process.
