As per the deal, Dish Media will provide Rs 200,000 and DHT devices,including free service for six months, for the winner of all eight categories . In return, NSJF will promote Dish Media, dedicated to DTH service in Nepal.[break]
NSJF President Niranjan Rajbanshi and Dish Media Managing Director Rabindraman Shakya signed the deal on behalf of their respective institutions. Following the agreement, Dish Media became the second co-sponsor after ISME. Dish Media was the co-sponsorship of the event of previous editions as well.
In this edition of Sports Award, NSJF has included eight categories including Pulsar best male and female player of the year, youth player of the year, coach of the year, para athlete of the year, lifetime achievement award and popular player of the year.
NSJF has already announced five nominees for Pulsar popular player of the year who will be selected through SMS voting. Similarly, nominees for best male and female player of the year, youth player of the year and coach of the year will be announced shortly.
The winner of best male and female player of the year will be awarded with a Pulsar motorbike each while winners of other categories will be awarded a purse of Rs 30,000 along with trophies, gifts and certificates.
Meanwhile, Kalyan Adhikari, the marketing manager of Dish Media, announced to provide five dish home device and six month subscription free of cost to five luckey winners of SMS voting.
Speaking at the function held to sign the deal, Rabindraman Shrestha, the managing director of Dish Home said that the company was proud to co-sponsor the award function which has established itself as prestigious event among sports fraternity. "We are happy to be tied up with the ceremony for the second year."
NSJF President Niranjan Rajbanshi said the award funtion was dedicated to the whole sports fraternity. "We are able to continue this event due to support from the sponsors and donors like Dish Media and we hope to get similar support in future as well."
NSJF General Secretary Hemanta Kafle and Treasurer cum spokesperson Prakash Timilsina also spoke on the occasion.
